Online Webspaces

Webspaces published on the Internet allow access using your computer and smartphone via an Internet browser to the database without  installing software. To do this, the database must be published on the Server PRONOTE.net . It is then possible to designate from a PRONOTE Client  Webs paces that should be  made accessible according to the concerned  users or not (Teachers  Webs pace, Parents  Webs pace, Students  Webs pace etc.).

Publish the Webspaces

Publish the base online with PRONOTE.net

Choose the Webspaces to be published with PRONOTE.net 

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. Tick the Webspaces to be published in the column Published.

The Teachers, Parents, Students and Student Administration Webspaces can also be published from the supervisor's homepage with a click on the icon .

Configure the content for the Webspaces

The content for the Webspaces is configured from the Client PRONOTE. This configuration allows the choice of data and features made available for the users.

Configure the Teachers and Student Administration Webspaces 

The authorizations depend on the profiles of the teachers/staff.

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Webspace that you want to configure in the drop-down menu:  you will find the authorizations defined in Resources > Professors/Personnel > Authorizations profiles. Possible actions from Webspace are indicated by the icon .

Configure the Students, Parents, Company and Regional Education Authority Webspaces 

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Webspace that you want to configure in the drop-down menu.
  3. In the tree structure, select the displays you want to make available.
  4. Options are associated with some displays: select an element from the tree structure on the left to display the options on the right.

Modify the background image on the authentication page 

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. Double-click in the column Authentication page of the Webspace of your choice.
  4. In the popup window, select as wanted:

Publish useful links on the homepages 

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. Click on the creation line to specify the title of the link.
  4. Then enter the URL, eventually a comment, and specify on which Webspace the link should appear.

Note: for the teachers of Student Administration staff, these useful links are also visible on the Client homepage.

Publish the legal notices 

Legal notices are mandatory on any website; they are displayed on the authentication page.

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. Tick Legal notices of all the Webspaces and then fill in the different rubrics.

Specify the e-mail contact addresses for the institution 

 Prerequisite  You must be a user from the group Administration.

  1. Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Identity.
  2. In the rubric E-mail, enter the e-mail addresses of the institution that will be offered to users of the Webspaces (Webmaster and/or Secretariat) and then tick Publish.
  3. Users of Webspaces find this information by clicking on the button  on the top of the screen, next to the institution 's name.

Allow the teachers/staff to download a Client PRONOTE 

In non hosted mode:

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. In the frame Address of the PRONOTE Server, enter the IP Address (or name of domain) and the TCP port No. listed in the panel Publication parameters of the Server PRONOTE .

In hosted mode: the address of the Server  can be consulted from the hosting console  in the panel Clients EDT and PRONOTE.

Connection to the Webspaces

Enter the address of the Spaces to communicate to the users 

Every standard letter Connection contains a variable <<InternetSiteAddress>> that repeats the Internet address indicated in the Institution's parameters.

 Prerequisite  You must be a user from the group Administration.

  1. Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Identity.
  2. To have the address of the Webspaces appear on the mail Connection that is sent to users, fill in the field Internet site.

Note: you can also directly enter the exact address of each Webspace in the corresponding standard letter from the tab Communication > Mail >  Editing standard letters.

Activate/Deactivate Accessible Mode for color adaptation 

The Accessible Mode allows allows better color contrast management.

  1. From the Webspaces, go to My data > Parameters.
  2. Tick Activate the Accessible mode.
