PRONOTE.net

The Webspaces published on the Internet allows the access to the database without installing the software, via an Internet browser on computers and smartphones. They are published via the PRONOTE.net application. In hosted mode, the PRONOTE.net application is hosted and updated by the INDEX EDUCATION teams.

Install the PRONOTE.net application (in non hosted mode only)

Download and install PRONOTE.net (in non hosted mode)

  1. Download the application on the Index Education Internet site www.index-education.com, from the page PRONOTE > Downloads > Download PRONOTE 2021.

  2. In the rubric PRONOTE 2021 NETWORK  I  For the administrators,  Network applications, download the application.

  3. Follow the instructions

Connect PRONOTE.net to Server (in non hosted mode)

 Prerequisite  The Server is activated.

  1. In the application PRONOTE.net , click on the panel Choice of server.
  2. Transfer the IP Address and TCP Port that is found in the panel Publication parameters of the Server.
  3. Click on Connect.

Put the Webspaces online

Publish the base online with PRONOTE.net

In hosted mode: the base is published by default. To shut down/relaunch the publication, go to the hosting console , in the panel PRONOTE.net .

In non hosted mode: in the application PRONOTE.net , click on the button Publish on the top right.

Integrate the Webspaces in a DW

Choose the Webspaces to be published with PRONOTE.net

  1. Go to the tab Communication > PRONOTE.net > .
  2. Select Common parameters in the drop-down menu.
  3. Tick the Webspaces to be published in the column Publish.

Add a second server

Add a second server PRONOTE.net

To have a larger bandwidth, you can add a second server .net and for example, publish the Parents Webspace from one and from the other, the data intended for families (Parents and Students Webspaces).

  1. In the application PRONOTE.net , launch the command File > Add a server .net: a tab with the second server appears on the left.
  2. Transcribe the coordinates of the Server  (visible in the panel Publication parameters) in the tab Choice of server of the second Server PRONOTE.net.
  3. In the panel Publication parameters of the second server .net, modify the Listening port or the Root so that the addresses to communicate to the Internet users are different.
  4. Click on Publish.

Delete a server PRONOTE.net

  1. To delete a Server PRONOTE.net, the corresponding Windows service must first be deleted: in the application PRONOTE.net , click on the panel of the Server PRONOTE.net that is to be deleted and launch the command File > Shut down the Windows service of PRONOTE.net.
  2. Launch the command Configuration > Administration of Windows parameters, in the popup window, go to the tab Windows  Service, right-click on the service Index - Server NOTE.NET 2020 shut down and choose Delete. Close the window.
  3. Right-click on the panel of the shut down >Server PRONOTE.net and choose Delete.
