Grading

Specify the grading periods

The grades count for at least one period (for example, for the trimester 1) and sometimes several periods (for example, for the trimester 2 and the mock end term exam). An average can be calculated and a report card can be edited for every period.

There is no link between these periods and the periods eventually defined for the timetable in EDT.

Modify the type of grading for one or several classes 

By default, the classes have Trimestrial grading.

 Prerequisite  You must be a user from the group Administration.

  1. Go to the tab Resources > Classes >  List.
  2. Double-click in the column Grading. If you do not see this column, click on the button  on the top right of the list to display it (List).
  3. In the popup window, double-click on the type of grading (Trimestrial, Semestrial or Continuous).

Note: you can changer the type of grading for several selected classes via the right-click contextual menu.

Indicate the dates for the grading periods 

By default, the dates are used to set the publication dates of the report cards, gradebooks, periodic assessments, etc., on the Webspaces.

 Prerequisite  You must be a user from the group Administration.

  1. Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Official periods.
  2. Indicate the beginning and ending of every grading trimester and/or semester.

Seal the entry of the grades 

 Prerequisite  You must be a user from the group Administration.

When a grading period is sealed, it is no longer possible to create, modify or delete the tests, grades and configuration relative to the tests and services of the period.

  1. Go to the tab Resources > Classes >  Sealing of the periods.
  2. Click on the button  atop the column Grades.
  3. In the popup window, choose an immediate sealing, or differed if you have planned the sealing in advance.

Copy a grading table in spreadsheet 

  1. Go to the tab Grades > Enter the grades >  Entry.
  2. Select a class and service to display the grading table.
  3. Click on the button  on the top right of the table.
  4. Paste the data [Ctrl + V] in Excel.
