SIECLE

Recover or update student data in EDT

1. In SIECLE, activate Application SIECLE > Access the student base.
2. In the menu Exportation, click on In XML and save the following *.xml 7 files.
   • Nomenclatures
   • Institutions
   • Geographic
   • Structures
   • Students including addresses
   • Legal guardians including addresses
   • Common exports
3. In EDT, launch the command Imports/Exports > SIECLE > Recover the students' data.
4. In the popup window, specify the data you want to recover: click on the button  on the top right to view all the update options. In addition to the contact information of students and  guardians, you can also recover:
   • the election modalities with the options (students' active studies),
   • the ETM (MEF) of the classes and their services if you tick the corresponding options.
5. In the frame Choice of import method, select From the export SIECLE and then click on the button .
6. In the new window that is displayed, select the files generated from SIECLE and click on the button Validate the selection: the summary of the data contained in the file is displayed on the right in the form of an array.

7. Click on the button Validate; you will return to the preceding window. Click on Import.

Recover provisional student data in EDT

If you want to automatically distribute the students into the classes (Automatically distribute the students (pre-incoming year)), it is of interest to recover the ETM (MEF) and the provisional options that are available in SIECLE.

 Prerequisite  You must have generated from SIECLE, the files *.xml Nomenclatures and Students including addresses containing the provisional data.

1. Go to the tab Pre-incoming year > Distribution of the students > Students and wishes.
2. Launch the command Imports/Exports > SIECLE > Recover the students' provisional data.
3. In the popup window, select the two files generated from SIECLE and click on, the button Validate the selection: the summary of the data contained in the file is displayed on the right in the form of an array.
4. Click on the button validate; you will return to the preceding window. Click on Import.

Transfer the students to SIECLE (only for private institutions)

1. If you have not imported your students from SIECLE, launch the command Imports/Exports > SIECLE > Recover the codifications.
2. Launch the command Imports/Exports > SIECLE > Export the students.
3. Transfer the *.xml file generated in EDT to SIECLE.

Transfer the student/group links

 Prerequisite  The services have been transferred to STSWEB (STSWEB (import)) and the groups in SIECLE.

Go to the menu Imports/Exports > SIECLE > Export the student/group links.
