Generate the courses from the ETM
To generate the courses from the ETM (MEF), you must have entered the provisional classes (Provisional classes (pre-incoming year)) and verify the ETM (ETM (pre-incoming year)). If
you have used the workgroup Pre-incoming year to calculate your provisional requirements, this work is already accomplished. It is also recommended that teachers be assigned to services (Distribution of the services) even
if it can be done later using the tab Timetable.
Break down services
- Go to the tab Pre-incoming year > Preparation of courses > Provisional services.
- By default, a service is segmented into 1 hour per week. To modify the course duration and frequency, double-click in the column No. Courses.
- In the popup window, tick and modify the number, duration and frequency to obtain the desired courses. For example, for 4 hours of French, we specify 1 weekly course of 1 hour, 1 weekly course of 2 hours and 1 fortnight course of 2 hours. The number
of hours per week is displayed in green at the bottom of the window as long as the combination meets the expected number of hours.
- Click on Transform once the combination is set.
Create the courses
- Go to the tab Pre-incoming year > Preparation of courses > Assigning of teachers to services.
- Select All the levels in the top right drop-down menu to create all courses at once. You may prefer to proceed by level or for a selection of classes.
- Click on the button Create the courses. Caution, the generated courses replace all the ones you may have in the database for the selected classes or level(s).
