Course model

A course model allows you to define a certain number of characteristics that will be automatically allocated to the courses using this model. When a certain number of courses must have the same characteristics, it is a time saver for the entries.

Create a course model

  1. Go to the menu Parameters > course > Course models.
  2. Click on the creation line, enter a name and validate using the key [Enter].
  3. In the tab Course's characteristics, specify the characteristics that by default will be allocated to the courses created with this model.
  4. In the tab Unavailability and wishes, you can indicate the slots in which the courses created from the model cannot be placed. For example, you can prohibit the placement of the hard science courses after 4 pm. This unavailability can be modified at any time in Schedules > Courses >  Unavailability.

Use a course model

When you create a course (by drafting it in the grid , or a schedule  and ; from the list of courses via the command Edit > Create a course, during a room reservation or during the creation of courses from a curriculum), you can select a course model. The course inherits the characteristics specified for this model; you can then modify them if you want.

The use of course models is available from the Secretariat Webspace. Click-drag on the slot where you want to create the course and then double-click in the green box. In the course creation confirmation window, select the model Course model to be used in the drop-down menu and then validate.
