Absence of a class

Class absences are entered from EDT; they have an impact on the timetable. However, the absences of the students are entered from PRONOTE.

Enter the absence of a class

When a class is entered absent, its courses are canceled; the room and the teacher become available.

  1. Go to the tab Daily management and absences > Classes >  Entry of absences.
  2. Select a class from the list on the left.
  3. Select the concerned week or weeks [Ctrl + click] in the slider located on the bottom.
  4. Select the absence motive in the drop-down menu above the grid (Absence motive).
  5. Click-drag on the time slots when the class is absent: they are displayed in the motive’s color. To shorten or delete an absence, repeat a click-drag on these times slots.
  6. A line with the summary of the absence is displayed on the bottom of the screen.

    • If it is a class outing, click in the column Chaperone to specify the participating teachers: their absence will be automatically taken into account and their courses canceled.  New  If a teacher or staff member is entered as an teaching assistant from the tab Daily management and absences > Classes >  Entry of absences, pedagogical outings are displayed on the his/her timetable and are indicated by a single block.
    • If the Client EDT is connected to a PRONOTE base, in the cases where the outing overlaps or borders on a meal, you can indicate that you should not plan the meals: double-click in the column Noon (and/or Evening if the institution proposes a full board accommodation) to reveal a red cross.

Send information to participants of a pedagogical outing

 New  As soon as a class absence is entered, you can send information.

  1. Go to the tab Daily management and absences > Classes >  Entry of absences.
  2. Select a class from the list on the left.
  3. Select the concerned week or weeks [Ctrl + click] in the slider.
  4. On the line summarizing the absence at the bottom of the screen, click in the column Share and then choose Send information.
  5. In the popup window, the content and the recipients are already pre-filled. Complete if necessary.
  6. You may attach a document (e.g., a permission slip to be completed by the parents).
  7. If you tick with acknowledgement of receipt, the recipients will be asked to indicate that they have read the information.
  8. Indicate at the bottom the publication's beginning and ending date.
  9. Click on Send.

Delete an absence

  1. Go to the tab Daily management and absences > Classes >  Entry of absences.
  2. Select the resource that is absent from the list on the left.
  3. Select the concerned week or weeks in the slider on the bottom right to display the corresponding absences.
  4. Select the absence in the table below, right-click and choose Delete.
