Exemption

The exemptions for courses are displayed on the student's timetables.

 New  You can find the exemptions in the tab Absences > Summaries per student >  List of absences and tardiness per student.

Authorize the teachers to edit the exemptions 

  1. Go to the tab Resources > Teachers >  Authorization profiles.
  2. Select a profile in the list on the left.
  3. Tick Enter the exemptions:

 

Enter an exemption for a period

  1. Go to the wanted tab:
    • Absences > Exemptions >  Entry of the exemptions or home schooling ,
    • Infirmary > Exemptions >  Entry of the exemptions or home schooling .
  2. Select the student in the list on the left.
  3. In the drop-down menu on the right, select Exemption and then the subject for which the exemption applies.
  4. By default, an exemption is entered for the day; you can choose the morning or afternoon via the second drop-down menu.
  5. Click-drag on the concerned days, they are displayed in the subject's color. (Click-drag on it again if you want to modify or cancel the exemption.)
  6. A line corresponding to the exemption is displayed in the table. From there, you can, specify if presence is compulsory (if yes, the student can be entered as absent in the roll call sheet), add a commentary and attach a document (Attached document).

Intermittently exempt the student for a course 

  1. Go to the tab Absences > Entry >  Teachers' roll call sheet.
  2. Select the course and in the tab Roll call and monitoring, double-click in the column Exemption.

Exempt a student repeating grades for some courses

If you want to authorize a student repeating grades to not assist all the courses, you can:

Use the exemption "Home schooling" 

This exemption makes it possible to indicate students in distance learning. The roll call sheets are updated. Each student sees on his/her Webspace if it is a day in school/at home.

 New  You can choose the subjects you wish to home school and combine home schooling and exemption, both of which are managed separately.

  1. Go to the tab Absences > Exemptions >  Entry of the exemptions or home schooling.
  2. Select all students in the same situation (if beforehand you have used a family to sort them, it’s very rapid)
  3. Select the exemption Home schooling. in the first drop-down menu (You can select All Subjects if no course takes place at the school for these students).
  4. Highlight the weeks when the selected students must stay at home.
