Client PRONOTE

The Client is an application that allows the connection to the database activated from a Server PRONOTE to consult or modify the data.

Download and install the Client

1. Download the application on the Index Education's Internet site, www.index-education.com, from the page PRONOTE > Downloads > Download PRONOTE 2021.
2. In the rubric PRONOTE 2021 Network l   For the users,

• if you have a Windows operating system, download the Client PRONOTE proposed by default.
• if you have a Mac click on You have a Mac system? and download the installation pack with Wine for MAC OS (Mac).

Note: those who want to install the Client on a Linux workstation must install Wine and follow the instructions given in the FAQ.

Authorize the teachers/staff to download Client PRONOTE from their Webspaces 

1. Go to the tab Resources > Teachers/Staff > Authorization profiles.
2. Select a profile in the list on the left.
3. In the category General information, tick Download Client PRONOTE.

Connect the Client to Server

 Prerequisite  The Server PRONOTE is installed and the base activated.

1. From the homepage screen of Client, click on the button Add the coordinates of a new server.
2. Enter:

In hosted mode:

• as IP Address: RNE.index-education.net,
• as TCP Port: 49300

In non hosted mode:

• as IP Address: the IP Address of the Server PRONOTE (or the Relay PRONOTE if used).
• as TCP Port: the TCP Port of the Server PRONOTE (or the Relay PRONOTE if used).

1. Transcribe the IP Address and if necessary modify the TCP port of the Server PRONOTE: this information appears in the panel Publication Parameters of the Server.
2. Enter a designation to specify the Server and validate.

Note: the buttons Delete this server's access button , Modify the connection parameters  and Create a connection shortcut on the desktop  appear on the overview of the connection button.

Note: if the Client is installed outside the institution's network, if must verify if the network authorizes outside connections; the port corresponding to the Server (or the Relay, if needed).

Update the Client (in non hosted mode)

By default, the update is automatically proposed when the Client connects to a Server that is in a superior version. If the automatic update is deactivated, you can reactivate it via the menu Configuration > Update.
