Remotely administer

You can operate the applications Server and Relay from a workstation other than the one where the application is installed. For this you must use the corresponding Remote Administration application.

Download and install the Remote Administration application

 Prerequisite  To download the application, you must be connected as the SPR and have registered your license.

1. Visit our Website, www.index-education.com and then to the application download page EDT > Downloads > Download EDT.
2. The remote administration applications are found in the rubric Remote administration of the network applications, rubric EDT 2021 NETWORK | For administrators.
3. Download the remote administration application that interest you.
4. Install it on the workstation where you want to operate at a distance.

Authorize Remote Administration from the application

1. In the applications Server  or Relay , click on the panel Remote Administration.
2. Tick Authorize Remote Administration.
3. Verify that the port is not in use and modify it if it is used by another application.
4. Enter the workstation’s address where the Remote Administration application is installed.

Note: if you want to operate at a distance from several workstations, the addresses of these workstations must all be authorized. If these addresses follow in sequence, leave ticked By block and choose the appropriate mask. If the addresses are not in a sequence, tick By range and enter the range of the concerned addresses.

Configure the Remote Administration application

1. In the application Remote Administration application, click on the panel List of servers.
2. Enter the name for the Server or Relay.
3. Transfer the IP address and port number that is in the panel Publication parameters of the application.
