PIN Code
If you choose to set up a dual authentication, a PIN code will will be requested on each connection from an unknown device.
Define a PIN code
Prerequisite The SPR has not prohibited a dual authentication.
During your first connection, select Define a PIN code and use the numeric keypad to enter and then confirm your code by clicking on Validate each time.
If you do not activate the PIN code during the first connection, you will still be able to do so
from the menu My Preferencess > security > Securing my account.
Connecting from a new device
- If dual authentication is active, a window appears when EDT is launched.
- Use the numeric keypad to enter your PIN and click Validate.
- If the device you are connecting from is only used by you or trusted persons, tick I add this device to the list of my "recognized" devices under the name:
and give it a name as to identify it: the PIN code will no longer be requested during a connection from this device; only your username and password will be required.
Manage registered devices
- Go to the menu My Preferencess > security > Securing my account.
- You can find all the devices you have saved in the rubric List of devices/browsers saved in my account

- If you no longer use one of them, select the corresponding line and click on the button , or use the key [Delete]
.
New Reset you PIN code
A user who forgets their PIN code can reset it himself/herself without having to ask the authorized personnel.
Prerequisite In the menu Parameters > options > Security, the SPR must have ticked the option Authorize the teachers and staff to request a PIN code reset. The concerned
user must also have entered a valid e-mail address.
- In the PIN code input window, the user clicks on the button Reset my PIN code.
- A window indicates that a reset code has been sent to the user via e-mail. The user clicks on Close.
- After having read the e-mail Reset code for your PIN code, the user enters the received 6-digit code and clicks on the button Validate.
- In the popup window, he/she can then define the new PIN code: using the numeric keypad to enter and then confirm the code, by clicking on the button Validate each time.
Modify your PIN code
- Go to the menu My Preferencess > security > Securing my account.
- Click on the button Modify my PIN code.
- In the popup window, enter your current PIN code and enter a new one and confirm it.
Reset a users PIN code
Prerequisite You must login as the SPR.
- For a teacher: go to the tab Timetable > Teachers > List, select the teacher, right-click and choose the command Modify > Password and PIN code > Generate a new PIN code.
- For an Administrative user: go to the menu File > User Administration, second display; select the group and then the user, right-click and choose the command Generate a new PIN code.
Modify the security policy
Prerequisite You must login as the SPR.
From the menu Parameters > options > Security,
the SPR may choose to propose, impose or disable the use of the PIN code for all users.
