Headers and footers
By default, there are three templates that can be customized. You can also create others. They can be used when writing standard letters and when some printouts are made (for timetables, in particular).
Create customized headers and footers
- Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Headers/Footers.
- Click in the creation line, enter a designation and validate with the key [Enter].
- Select the type of template.
- Unrestricted dimension: the created template can be used as a header or footer. You can change its size, alignment, orientation and define a frame or not. It is only usable in mail;
- Dimension with a maximum height of 3 cm: apart from the maximum height limited to 3 cm, you can access all other formatting options. It can be used in mail and printouts;
- Fixed dimension: you can not intervene on the formatting. Only the content is customizable. It can be used in mail and printouts.
- Select a header or footer in the list and customize it in the panel on the right.
- If you have chosen Unrestricted dimension or Dimension with a maximum height of 3 cm, you can define the page layout (orientation, alignment, size and framing).
- Click on the button Insert and choose the wanted variables. The information concerning the institution has been entered in the menu Parameters > institution > Identity.
- To display a logo in one of the default templates, pre-load it in Parameters > institution > Logos then right-click in the frame
Logo of the template and choose Logo library > [Name of logo].
Insert a header/footer in a standard letter
- Go to the tab Communication > Mail > Standard letters.
- Select the concerned standard letter in the list.
- Position the cursor where you want to place the header or footer.
- Right-click and choose Headers/Footers > [Name]
.
- The variables are replaced with the appropriate data. Once the header is integrated into
standard letter, you can select the block and change its location manually.
Note: you can integrate several headers/footers in the same standard letter.
Duplicate a template
- Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Headers/Footers.
- Select a template in the list.
- Right-click and choose Duplicate.
Restore a by default template
- Go to the menu Parameters > institution > Headers/Footers.
- Select a template in the list.
- Right-click and choose Restore the original.
